Limited Liability Company «Khakass Wood-Processing Plant» is registered in Abakan, the capital of the Republic of Khakassia. Abakan occupies a geographically advantageous location on the South Siberian Railway, which connects it with Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Minusinsk Right Bank, Irkutsk Region and Kuzbass.

The transport accessibility for road and rail transport creates comfortable conditions for the production and sale of timber products, both on the Asian and European markets.

The total area of ​​the Republic of Khakassia is 61,900 sq. km. with population of 537,000 people (2018). The rich historical traditions of timber processing in the region make it possible to attract professional personnel in the appropriate field for cooperation.

The main forest area of the Republic of Khakassia is located in four forestry areas: Abazinsky, Balyksinsky, Birikchulsky and Tashtypsky. The total volume of commercial timber in the Republic of Khakassia is 107 million cubic meters, which is sufficient for the long-term planning of production activities of LLC «KWPP».

The Republic of Khakassia borders on Krasnoyarsk Territory in the north. The area of ​​forest lands in Krasnoyarsk Territory makes 158, 734.8 thousand hectares with the total timber stock of 11.5 billion cubic meters and the annual authorized estimate cutting area of 81.9 million cubic meters.

The Republic of Khakassia borders on the Republic of Tyva in the south. The area of ​​forest lands in the Republic of Tyva is 10,882.9 thousand hectares with the total timber stock of 1.14 billion cubic meters and the annual authorized estimate cutting area of  2.3 million cubic meters.

The main wood species found in the region are pine, larch, fir and spruce.
